Success of the 3rd Farm’Innov Connection event
How can you finance and secure your growth in the Kenyan agri-food value chain? This was the theme of the third edition of Farm’Innovation Connection*, which brought together around 40 players from the Kenyan agri-food sector in Nairobi on 16 September, both in person and online.
Experts from Equity Bank, Proparco, Bpifrance and the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation, in collaboration with Sumac Microfinance Bank, presented a wide range of financing solutions, with concrete examples, to meet the needs and development challenges of Kenyan businesses. Almost all of the 14 companies involved in the Farm’Innov project’s acceleration programme were heavily involved in the event. Participants were able to talk to the speakers during the breaks and the networking lunch that closed the morning session.
A big thank you to all the participants and speakers for the quality of their presentations and the many constructive discussions that contributed greatly to the success of the event. We would like to give special thanks to Ruth Oriama, our local contact, who did a fantastic job organising the event at the Novotel Nairobi Westlands, as well as Domitille Guilloton (French Chamber of Commerce Kenya), Fariza Chalal (AFD) and the Farm’Innov project partners for their support! Asante sana!
We look forward to seeing you next November for the next Farm’innov Connection!
Next highlight: the visit of the delegation of representatives from the 14 Kenyan companies participating in the acceleration programme, from 13 to 17 October, for a week of company visits and meetings in France, with members of the Valorial network, carefully organised by the team. We will tell you more very soon! Stay tuned!
